Good morning, stakeholders,
October 2023 Webinar: Campus Suicide Prevention: Creating a Campus Safety Net

The OPCSMH invites you to join us on Monday, October 30th, 2023, from 12:00pm-1:00pm EST for the OPCSMH October 2023 webinar. Presenter Scott Poland, Ed.D., Professor in the College of Psychology and Director of the Suicide and Violence Prevention Office, Nova Southeastern University, an internationally recognized expert on school safety, youth suicide, and school crisis prevention/intervention will share his knowledge and experience working in campus suicide prevention, as well as share real examples and resources from his time at NSU. Dr. Poland has authored the Suicide Safer School Plan for the state of Texas, the Crisis Action School Toolkit-Suicide for the state of Montana and the Florida STEPS School Toolkit for Educators to Prevent Suicide. Additionally, Dr. Poland has testified about the mental health needs of children before the U.S. Congress on four separate occasions and was a founding member of the National Emergency Assistance Team. We certainly look forward to hearing his expertise on campus suicide prevention and we hope you will join us too!
