Subject: SPRC Campuses: New SSN resources

Greetings Folks...I hope you all are enjoying the summer!

Many of you have heard about the Student Support Network (SSN) Training we developed at WPI with GLS funding and I'm excited to share that in addition to the free manual we provide; there are now other ways to learn more about the program.

The July edition of The Journal of College Student Psychotherapy has an article co-authored by Rebekah Schulze and me called "Enhancing the Network of Peer Support on College Campuses"
It can be accessed online at  http://www.tandfonline.com/loi/wcsp20  We describe the program and report some very positive outcomes on trainee stigma reduction and improved "psychological flexibility".

In addition...I authored a chapter in the recently published book "Mindfulness & Acceptance for Counseling College Students" called "Teaching Mindfulness and Acceptance within College Communities to Enhance Peer Support" talking about the importance of acceptance and mindfulness in the SSN training.

Best,
Charlie Morse
