988 Briefing
Please join The Department of Health and Human Services Deputy Secretary Andrea Palm, Department of Education Under Secretary James Kvaal, Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance Use Dr. Miriam Delphin-Rittmon, and HHS senior leadership for a briefing on the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline's 988 workforce efforts. 988 lifeline call centers are looking for empathetic volunteers, employees and interns to serve as crisis care counselors answering the phone, chats, and texts, and managers with advanced degrees. This briefing will provide an overview of 988 resources available to students and highlight the various workforce opportunities to apply to today.
