Good afternoon-
We are excited to share a variety of resources and opportunities!
Mental Health Resources for Families, Friends and Other Allies in your area

With the right treatment and support, people affected by mental illness can and do get better. Although new forms of therapy, medications, and community-based treatment services have enabled many individuals to lead full, independent lives, support from friends, family members, partners, sponsors, neighbors, CIT officers, clergy, educators, and other allies are essential to the recovery process. Research indicates that when knowledgeable and appropriately supported loved ones are involved in treatment and recovery, outcomes for all involved are improved, including reduced relapse and re-hospitalization rates.

The Northeast Ohio Medical University Coordinating Centers of Excellence - the Best Practices in Schizophrenia Treatment (BeST) Center, the Criminal Justice Coordinating Center of Excellence (CJ CCoE) and the Ohio Program for Campus Safety & Mental Health (OPCSMH) - are pleased to provide Mental Health Resources for Families, Friends and Other Allies in Recoveryhttps://www.neomed.edu/ccoe/mental-health-resources/family-friends-in-recovery/ for constituents to share with these allies as they seek to promote recovery and improve the lives of individuals affected by mental illness. Please bookmark this page: neomed.edu/mental-health-resources-familieshttp://www.neomed.edu/mental-health-resources-families.
Thank you for your continued commitment to supporting families, friends and other allies in mental health recovery!
