What the Launch of 988 Means for Crisis Care, April 26th from 12-1 p.m. EST. presented by Stacey Frohnapfel-Hasson, M.P.A., O.C.P.C.
In 2020, Congress designated the new 988 dialing code to be operated through the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. 988 will act as the "entry point" to connect families and individuals in a mental health or additional crises. 988 is more than just an easy-to-remember number-it is a direct connection to compassionate, accessible care and support for anyone experiencing mental health related distress - whether that is thoughts of suicide, mental health or substance use crisis, or any other kind of emotional distress.
Ohio is well underway in the planning of the implementation of 988. Learn more on how 988 can affect your campus community and outreach efforts with this upcoming webinar.
