May 13th-19th 2020 is Schizophrenia Awareness Week
Schizophrenia Awareness Week is an international observance that seeks to dispel myths and promote help-seeking by people affected by schizophrenia and their families. The Department of Psychiatry Coordinating Centers of Excellence would like to THANK YOU for providing programs and practices that help people live successfully with schizophrenia and other serious mental illnesses! If you have not had the opportunity submit a de-identified story of how the practices and programs of the BeST Center, CJ CCoE and OPCSMH are helping people recover from schizophrenia and other serious mental illnesses by May 19th. Submit a story! Details for submitting a story can be found in the attached flyers. We also invite you to view the attached publication: Schizophrenia: The Myths, The Realities, and How to Help.
